General comments/suggestions on lectures:
791. I think it was good enough for lecture.
801. Less flex Friday lectures. It seemed like the really hard concepts were taught during flex Friday.
802. None
806. I preferred the online lecture because I can replay it more than one time.
807. Lectures tend to focus on working problems rather than giving students an understanding of physics. This made it such that actual learning was exchanged for math practice. Equations only tell part of the story, but do not reveal the true workings of the physical world
808. .
809. I really like and appreciate having two professors teaching. It provides two explanations and two views on a subject, so I don't have to go searching the Internet for more explanations.
810. Sometimes not enough space on slides
811. N/A
812. Lectures are organized very well, having a team lecture helped see multiple different approaches to a problem.
816. N/A
817. You guys do a great job
820. Good
823. Teach the material like we are very dumb, not like we are very smart.
825. Couldn't get much out of the lectures. I learned the most from going over past exams.
826. Having a team lecture can sometimes get confusing when two people are giving there input
827. Lectures were great, loved the notes
828. The extra and irrelevant topics meant to "engage" us are a waste of time and do the opposite.
829. i dont like fab friday lecture
830. More demonstrations
832. Lectures were helpful when you could see the step by step process of solving the examples.
834. they were helpful
839. I enjoyed the two teachers and they were great together. Sometimes it would be awkward when they talk back and forth with each other.
840. Lecture should be optional. The fabulous Friday videos served their purpose just fine and made physical lectures obsolete. Instead, the professors should just have a couple of office hours per week for students who need help and clarification on the material.
841. Overall the lectures are good; however, you all are trying to cover to much material in one hour.
844. Too fast and don't finish all the notes each time.
846. Good
847. no improvements needed
848. More homework problems in lectures
850. Lectures are better than it was in EF 151.
852. no
853. I disliked most of the lectures, and I never found them really effective at teaching material. Also, the professors seemed to be unable to help with some of the material. I definitely preferred professor Schleter over Biegalski, but that honestly is not saying much. I relied on my TA for any help.
856. The lectures are entertaining and keep me awake. Also they provide needed information. However, if the professors tried to fully work even 1 problem instead of going over a few problems vaguely it would be more helpful for the homework assignments.
857. none
858. N/A
859. n/a
861. Great lecturers but their handwriting was sometimes hard to read on the lecture slides.
862. i feel that there was a little bit of disparity between what was taught in class and some of the test questions
863. Professors did not do an adequate job of keeping the class quiet. On occasion professors were attempting to speak over inconsiderate students.
870. More clickers to engage students. Also so the students have to pay attention. Clickers do not have to be hard, could be simple.
872. Addition of more applications of the material presented
874. Good job guys! keep doing what you are doing!
876. none
877. The lectures in EF152 were great because of the team-taught style, just like in 151. The only thing is that sometimes the lectures felt a little light compared to the homework, as in the homework felt much harder than what was covered in lecture.
879. Lectures are really fast but the demonstrations really help.
881. none
884. Lectures are some of the best experiences at UT.
886. They were educational and helped cover the information required, so I don't see anything wrong with them.
887. I think lectures would be more effective if there were smaller groups and it was more interactive and easier to ask questions.
890. Both professors were very knowledgable of the material, but sometimes could not fit in enough explanation of the example problems, which made the homework harder to understand.
892. Very good; I wish that the Chemistry department was this good, because they suck quite frankly
894. ``
895. Lectures were always quite good; however, there were times that either one professor or both seemed to have difficulty in sufficiently explaining a certain topic. This would result in confusion among the class, and could make the lecture seem somewhat disorganized. A common occurrence in lectures was that time became an issue, and the last few slides were rushed through and we would still get out of lecture a few minutes after class officially ended. Overall, I always learned a lot of material by attending lectures, however, these were some issues that surfaced throughout the semester.
898. I liked lectures, and wished that we had more hands-on things.
899. On the harder material I would've liked to have gone over a little more examples as I had a lot of trouble with the harder sections when doing homework and the example problems went over class didn't help much.
901. Went well;
902. Overall pretty well explained.
903. The lectures were good and informative. I wish there were more online elements to them.

General comments/suggestions on the 'Fabulous Friday' approach:
789. Great for some people and sometimes but not always. Would also be great for reviewing the material while doing the homework.
790. They are good but if you do them on all lectures people will stop watching them.
800. Have online lectures optional like in 151 instead of required
801. Do less flex lectures, or at least try to schedule harder topics for actual lectures
802. None
805. I prefer having interactions with professors where questions can be asked.
806. Everything looks good
807. This was a very effective tool, as the lecture could be referenced at any time during studying/ homework
808. .
809. I wish it would've been like in 151 where if you did it early it was for extra credit. For most, I would get 2-4 misses and it would bring my grade down to a B or C on the whole assignment.
810. Helps bring flexibility to my schedule
811. Fabulous Friday feels like it does have the effectiveness of lecture.
812. Fabulous Fridays are a nice break from physical lecture but it is no substitute for the real thing.
813. I feel like I learn much better in regular lectures
816. Still have a class available for students to come in during lecture time.

Ex: Having an instructor in the study room going over the online video.
817. Its nice now and then, not too often
819. I really enjoyed the Flex Friday concept, where one had the option to come to lecture if they needed to, and they could learn from the prof.s that way, or if they didn't need that, they could prove their understanding through a graded quiz.
820. Good
822. sometimes the videos were too long and allowed for the viewer to become distracted.
823. Good approach, helped the self teaching that was often needed.
825. N/A
827. Nice to have a day off but not for every lecture
828. none
829. i prefer to be taught in class. I learn the material better.
830. I learn the material just as well, but it is on my time so I can concentrate better. I don't have the annoying kid beside me talking through the lecture and I can go back and repeat sections.
832. They were good to just have that break from having to actually go to lecture.
834. great morale booster for Fridays
836. BASED ON THIS YEARS SCORES AND OVERALL GRADE ON HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS THAT CORRESPOND TO FAB FRIDAY LECTURES CHECK TO SEE WHICH LECTURES AND/OR MATERIAL SHOULD BE TAUGHT AND NOT GIVEN THE FAB FRIDAY STAMP.
839. I absolutely loved it, but I wouldn't make it every lecture because that leaves a lot of the work on the students and it is good to listen to someone teach it who is a professional.
840. As said previously, this should dominate the entirety of the EF 151/152 lectures.
841. I prefer the fabulous Friday lectures, they make my schedule a lot easier.
844. Good way to let students relax from lecture.
846. i like it
847. I like occasionally
848. I like how we can do the lecture online, then get help over the material in EF help room
850. Only works every once and a awhile. I learn more sitting in a class than at home.
851. It was hard to understand or extract some of the video information to answer the concept questions sometimes.
852. no
853. Fabulous Friday seemed equally or more effective than actual lectures.
855. Students who are not disciplined will not do well if all lectures are presented as fabulous friday.
856. Fabulous Friday gives us students a good break but if all lectures were fabulous friday lectures it would make students very un-motivated to actually watch them.
857. none
858. N/A
859. n/a
862. while i liked not having a lecture on fridays, i think that it would be more effective if the lectures were actually taught.
863. Liked not having lecture on a Friday but it did seem to be a bit of a chore to remember to watch them.
864. Sometimes Fab friday lectures were on the harder topics which was not ideal. Maybe if you made sure fab friday's were on historically easier sections, it would be better.
866. Most of the time I would just answer the questions and learn the material when completing hw. Lectures actually help learn the material more than the online lectures.
867. Making the lecture online makes me less motivated to do it.
870. I like the idea of not going to class but I don't really get to understand the material. And sometimes the questions are harder then they seem.
871. It's nice being able to catch up on sleep on fabulous friday lectures, however, I don't retain the material as well when it is presented in an online format. Perhaps if the fabulous Friday lectures were just used for the easier material, while the in class lectures were saved for the more difficult stuff, it could improve this system.
872. They are not as effective as hearing the material in class, would rather go to class Friday.
873. This was a nice way to take a break during the week, especially on Fridays and learn at your own pace. However, if this were extended to all lectures I feel that students' grades would drop as they wouldn't watch all the videos. Being in lecture with attendance counted forces students to come and they will learn at least some of the material for having been there.
874. It is good since we as student can take a a day break. However, some students might find it more difficult to learn when doing flipped lecture rather than normal lectures.
876. none
877. Fabulous friday lectures are a great break for once a week, but real lectures are still better.
879. In person lectures are more effective to me than online lectures. I often got distracted by my surroundings and had to rewatch some slides to fully understand what was going on. Although I really enjoyed "fabulous friday" and would encourage you to continue them.
881. none
882. I like it as it adds flexibility to the class and caters to students who may need to focus on another class at that time.
884. Gave me an excuse to be a procrastinator.
886. If they included all lectures i would learn less.
887. I like these lectures because you can go at your own pace but I also do think you need to be in a classroom and held accountable to attending classes.
888. Some of these lectures were on days where the material would have been much better presented as a traditional lecture. I am specifically speaking about the Fab Friday lecture at the beginning of module 3. Tougher subjects such as heat transfer is better suited for a regular lecture.
890. I paid attention more in class than the videos. I think being taught the material in person is more effective.
892. n'a
894. ``
895. I appreciated the flexibility of the 'Fabulous Friday' approach, as it was nice not having to attend class on these days. I still prefer the traditional lecture approach as opposed to watching videos online, as I feel I learn and retain the material better and stay more engaged during the lecture.
898. I feel like if all Friday's were Fab Fridays, no one would come, so the concept they have right now is definitely working.
899. I personally liked the option of being able to attend class on a fabulous Friday as I had the option in EF 151 because I learn better attending class than watching the online videos.
900. It's okay every once and awhile, but I definitely didn't learn as much as I did in class lectures.
901. Continue it
902. Fantastic, made my Fridays
903. This was a good idea. I felt that this made it easier for me to review a concept when I didn't understand it.
904. I think Fabulous Friday is great because it gives the students a mental break from the lecture. However, I feel like it should not be every Friday because it could give some students a reason to slack off.
905. Fabulous Friday was a good concept in the way that it gave us a day off for lecture, allowing us some lax in our schedule. However, I don't think that they should be put for every lecture, as many students would take this for granted and get too far behind.

General comments/suggestions on the clickers:
791. I think clicker is good for students for attendance and practice the lecture for make sure.
Also, good for professor to make sure that do students understand this lecture.
I'm just sad about I lost two and half lecture because of parking lot.
So I missed lots of clicker grades because of that two days and half of lectures which makes my clicker grade in make up able....
801. Good practice
802. None
807. A good way to provide instant feedback, a good instructional tool
808. .
809. I liked them because they helped me understand the examples.
810. Good, keeps class interactive.

812. Clickers help with team collaboration, effective in remembering concepts.
816. N/A
819. I'd rather not have clickers in this class. Especially because it was the only class I had that used them, and I had to buy a new one just for this class.
820. Fine
822. create an easier way to view the past clicker questions. also make sure the entire question is listed with the question from the past. right now you can not view any related pictures with it.
823. Nice concept.
825. keep the free response ware also. It's nice not to worry when you forget your clicker.
827. Love the instant feedback
828. On the website, include the images from the clickers. It makes it very hard to go back and study without.
832. N/a
834. Clickers are a good way to stay engaged
839. Clickers were fun and an easy grade.
840. I understand the motive of using these but it really isn't necessary in any college course in my opinion. At least it shouldn't be required for credit.
841. No a fan of the clickers; however it is an easy participation grade.
844. Good way to interact with class.
846. good thing
847. good incentive to come to class
850. This was my only class that used clickers. Felt wasted.
851. The clickers were fun.
852. no
853. Clickers are important for attendance, which will hopefully lead to better grades. Clicker points were often the only reason I was in lecture.
856. Clickers are very over priced, but it definitely helped me learn ef 152

877. The clicker questions are very helpful in understanding the material and keeping me involved.
879. I think the clickers are a good idea but a little unnecessary for the extra cost.
881. none
882. Clickers kind of seemed like a novelty thing but I imagine it is useful for an instructor to gauge the level understanding.
884. Easy grade, and good way to maintain attendance.
886. The clickers helped keep me focused in lectures
890. The clicker points were good because it keeps everyone involved in class.
894. ``
895. I really like having clicker questions throughout lecture, as they help me stay engaged and test whether I'm learning the material or not.
898. It's a good, easy way to earn points, and it motivates you to go to lecture, or at least it did me.
899. none
901. helpful
902. Good way of checking for attendence
903. We might need less clicker questions in the long run.
905. Clickers are good for easy points and for keeping students attention in lecture, keep them.

General comments/suggestions on labs:
791. In the lecture, just the last group project schedule was little rush.
800. Sometimes Michael had to teach parts of the labs that were not taught prior in lecture, which gave less time to work on the labs
801. Karen did an excellent job! Give this girl a raise! Very great teaching style and always extremely helpful!
802. None
805. The labs did not help with homework as much as it could have.
807. Labs were merely additional practice of equations. The tasks performed seemed trivial, as they failed to grant students additional insight. 151 labs demonstrated that the equations and relationships we were taught were valid, whereas these labs were tedious and rarely enhanced learning
808. .
810. Helpful with course material.
811. The labs feel very unconnected in terms of example material. It feels like we have a lab using formulas and other equations that we would never use on a test or again.
812. Michael explained topics very well. Enjoyed his teaching style.
816. N/A
817. Labs this year felt relevant to the course.
819. Lab TAs should be given a syllabus that all students are required to follow. Otherwise, TAs have the freedom to grade however they like, and it's inconsistent and unfair.
820. -
822. These labs became very tedious in 152. compared to 151 the labs did really not help teach us anything. they just showed us applications.
823. Very helpful.
825. N/A
827. Labs were fun, some were hard to connect with what was taught in class
828. none
830. I'm not sure most labs enhanced my understanding. Seemed like a ton of busy work for a very small portion of your grade. Why do online worksheets? Why not just take attendance and then help us with homework. More work, with no added learning
832. Labs were useful for the one-on-one help to get questions answered in a smaller session.
834. Lab was fun sometimes and felt pointless at other times
839. Labs were easy and fun, but I never felt the connection between lab and lectures.
840. The labs were pretty helpful and interesting. They didn't seem to contribute as much to my knowledge as I think the professors think they did, but they were sort of helpful and interesting.
841. I feel the lab is a good thing, but honestly I don't think it helped me understand the concepts any better.
844. Good way to apply to real life.
846. Lab was good
847. Sometimes feels like busy work
848. Michael was very helpful and informative
850. I loved it!
852. no
853. Sometimes the labs were not very helpful, but I relied on my TA for any questions on the material.
855. Michael is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
856. Labs are fun and they help students more with homework-like problems
857. none
858. N/A
859. n/a
863. Michael is great he is very knowledgeable and easy to work with!!
864. Wanted more interesting, hands-on lab assignments.
868. The lab groups could have been made better. For the final module, I was left with a group that in no way helped further my learning in the course and cost me a good grade on the final project. I was very displeased with the process of the final project and how my group affected my grade. I did not like group projects at all.
870. Some of the labs were very boring.
871. The thermodynamics and circuits sections of the labs didn't seem to be structured as well as modules 1 and 2. I was taking ME 331 thermodynamics while learning the thermodynamic section of EF 152, and still had trouble understanding it.
872. N/a
874. none
876. none
877. The labs were OK. The final project was great, but the day to day stuff was not that great in helping understand any material and often felt like busy work. The music project was not good, very bad actually. The music project was unnecessarily stressful, not interesting, and didn't help any in understanding the material.
879. Michael is a great person and very very helpful, as well as my TA, Stefy. I have really enjoyed working with them both. Stefy's lab was my favorite class this semester and I always looked forward to going to it.
880. sometimes the TA doesn't seem quite prepared for the lab...
881. none
882. Sometimes I felt that the assigned lab did not pertain to the concepts that we were tested on and kind of made it feel like an unwanted chore.
884. Hands on labs were the best. Written labs were drawn out and made the topic more confusing.
886. They helped me get a better understanding of the concepts covered in lecture
890. Michael was a great TA and always explained the material well and helped us whenever we needed it.
892. Let me borrow special tool, nice guy
894. ``
895. While I really like my TA (Karen) and felt that she was effective in furthering my understanding and application of the material, I don't feel that labs have been all that beneficial to my understanding of class material.
898. My TA (Mike) was very good and he really helped me a lot. However, I wish that we didn't have a weekly lab.
899. none
901. Helpful
902. Some labs are good but others I would rather do practice problems
903. There needed to be more optional labs. There were certain topics that I found easy that I felt did not require a lab.
904. My TA Karen is awesome! She does a very good and thorough job at explaining concepts and making sure the class understands as a whole.
905. This course needs more entertaining projects, maybe some short competitions or something, much less fun than 151.

How does the homework system compare to other systems you may have used?
789. I would rate this homework system #1 above all the other homework systems I have used.
791. If I got a problem that I can't solve, I asked to my friend, TA and go to tutoring center to understand the problem.
792. Better
793. Better
794. Not frustrating
797. Very good
799. One of the best.
800. It is much more user friendly
801. Awesome, hands down the best system out there
802. None
804. Much better than webassign, I appreciate the occasional dry humor.
806. it is really good system. I like it.
807. Way better than any other online homework systems, blows webassign and Pearson products out of the water. If anything it should be a model for other classes/departments
808. better than webassign but that's about it
809. I like it more than any of the others I've had to deal with. The feedback when you get an incorrect answer is the best part.
810. The best homework system at UT
811. It feels too difficult and I think it should more closely match exam questions.
812. The Engineering Fundamentals website is very easy to use, much easier to use than Mastering or Webassign.
813. I perspnally learned very little from the homework itself. It seemed like a waste of time to me and just a way to weed out students.
815. I personally like it
816. Very well rounded, and easy to use. EF homework is, however, a very encompassing chore.
817. One of the best
818. Much better than mastering physics; I like the format and the questions helped prepare me for exams.
819. I like this system better, as it provides explanations and has a discussion section.
820. It is a good hw system. I have used web assign for one of my other class where it gives 5 tries to answer a question. I also like the 110 % grading system in the ef hw system.
821. Its mostly better.
822. The EF website is by far the easiest to use. I brag about this site to my friends at other schools/departments that use sites such as Mastering Physics.
823. Cool system, but the problems can be a bit on the difficult side.
825. better tan most but still excessive.
826. similar
827. About equal
828. Way better than anything any other profs use
829. way better
830. Very well organized
832. It is good easy to maneuver and answers don't have to be exact decimals.
833. Webassign is dumb.
834. I like this system better and the resources you have to be successful is great
835. Tedious
Heck of a workload
No help available when needed
836. n/a
837. Good
838. Much better
839. I love it more.
840. The system is a very good system. However, the questions themselves are often a little over the top when it comes to difficulty. I can't complain too much because of the discussion board and tutoring room, but they were challenging to a sometimes unnecessary degree.
841. System seems to work great, it was very similar to the other systems I have used.
842. spootty at best very inconsistent
844. Good cause it has hints for some problems.
846. tons more hw then others
847. I like this homework better than mastering physics!
848. I personally like this homework system. There's a discussion board in case im stuck, intermediate value checks that insure i know what im doing, and multiple chances to make sure i get the answer.
850. This time around the intermediate value check wasn't used as often as it was in 151.
852. no
853. Other systems have practice problems to help show how to do things. I am not sure how this could be implemented, but I feel like most of my trouble was with setting up problems.
854. This system is helpful with the feedback it can give on a wrong answer that can lead you towards what you did wrong.
855. This homework system is, by far, the best system I have used. Intermediate value checks are extremely helpful.
856. There is just simply too much homework. Instead of trying to learn the material I find myself constantly just trying to get the homework completed to keep my grade up. However, requiring units is very helpful and allowed me to better understand the material. My suggestion to fix the homework issue would be to simply assign about 60% of the current work, allowing students to focus on learning how to do the problems instead of just trying to get answers any means necessary
857. none
858. It is very useful and easy to use. It gives helpful hints when you get answers wrong and gives you multiple tries.
859. N/a
860. better
863. very good! its tedious and sometimes a pain to understand exactly what it wants but overall very good.
864. Better than sapling.
865. Best so far
866. Much better than most hw sites. Hints are actually helpful. More intermediate value checks could improve the system.
867. Best HW system ever, better than any other (WebAssign specifically) I've ever used.
868. Better in the sense that it has hints and IVCs. It was also not as strict on notation as other online systems.
870. Sometimes I go insane when I forget the units or get the units wrong. Some other times I just want to smash my laptop because I forget about one factor or I miss typed the decimal.
871. Exponentially better than some of the math online homework systems. However, I have been working a problem and been off by .01 decimal points and was counted wrong. Sometimes you think your entire method is wrong, when in reality it was just a rounding error. If this was improved the EF homework system would be far superior to any other system.
872. It is unique to EF
873. A little finicky if you forget when typing in answers, and it is easy to lose points because of a typo.
874. none
875. better than most
876. none
877. Much better than any other system.
878. It is the best system I have used.
879. It was a lot more work and time consuming than others. Sometimes I rounded too much to get the answer correct, which was very frustrating.
880. much better than anything I've used before, but also could use some tweaks. A little annoying when it says you're off by a factor of pi and it's not relevant to the problem
881. well planned and thought out questions
882. The system itself is a bit more forgiving than systems like WebAssign. Sometimes it would be a bit picky, but otherwise it's one of the better ones I have used.
884. One of the best online homework options. Much better than webassign.
886. I find the ef homework format easier to use than any other sites.
887. It is very similar and I like it a lot.
890. The homework was a pain to have to do it a certain way because most people do not go back and study it.
891. I like it much better than other online homework systems I've used, such as webassign.
892. A lot better; interface doesn't have to reload whole web page, and it accepts rounding which is soooo nice compared to Web-assign or Mastering Chem.
894. ``
895. The EF homework system is a really great tool for applying the course material and ensuring that I have effectively learned and understood what was presented in lecture.
896. I don't like the penalties
898. The EF homework is something I generally struggled with, just because it was very challenging.
899. I like the homework system used in EF the best.
901. easier
902. Not too hard but too much
903. This system was good, but it needs to become more user friendly.
904. Its definitely one of the better ones. It is smooth and fast unlike others I have encountered, and mobile friendly. :)
905. Much better online homework wise.

What other resources did you use when completing your homework?
Please be honest - we do not look at individual responses.

General comments/suggestions for improving the homework system:
791. Please, I do understand that I'm losing point because of numbers but I lost many points because of unit. I hope there is no losing points because of unit miss.
799. I liked it when we went over some homework in lab. This could be done more or in lecture but I know time is crunched
801. None
802. None
805. Before the exam for a section i would like to see the answers to the homework so that i know that if i couldn't complete something i can now see how to do it.
807. Simply better hints and IVC for hard problnes
808. .
810. Keep up the good work.
811. Make the questions closer to what you would ask on an exam.
812. N/A.
816. Perhaps have page numbers on notes/in book to let students know which pages in their notes they should look at in order to complete the problem.
820. Its good now.

823. Cut back on the number of problems per week.

827. N/A
828. Maybe a written step by step - no answers - just directions.
830. Tons of work. I feel like we could narrow it down.
832. Maybe make other students notes in the discussion board available so we can see what their process for solving the problem was for the times when we are also struggling.
833. homework is great and difficult without the help room I would have never been able to finish some of the homework problems.
834. more examples in class
835. Try not to have two due the same date
839. No the homework system is amazing. I love the EF website and all of the fancy gadgets it has.
840. Some homework questions could be a little clear and a lot could be less hardcore and time consuming.
841. N/A
844. Less each week.
846. its a work load
847. The EF workroom was very helpful, specifically Tyler was very helpful!
848. I like to see examples of the homework and work through them that way. They help me learn the process.
850. I find it hard to start an initial problem. Hints should actually help sometimes.
851. "Wrong" or un-capitalized units were my bane. Occasionally while trying to quickly enter a value I would forget them, nessassary, but evil.
852. no
853. I usually liked the homework system, even though it was sometimes frustrating with rounding issues. I wish there were more intermediate value checks.
854. Keep the homework close to the topics of the lectures.
856. As I said above, just less work overall would have really helped me to have time to focus on understanding the material.
857. none
858. N/A
859. N/A
862. i also used the tutoring work shop a lot and had found it very helpful
863. The tutorial center was a huge huge help. Tyler (one of the TA s in the tutorial center) was awesome! He is very knowledgeable and patient, really enjoyed being able to work with him. He really deserves a lot of credit for my success in this class.
864. More parts for each problem rather than more problems.
865. Try to keep the homework within the realm that we learned in the final chapter tried throwing too much into one question
870. Its nice that some of the homework is almost the same as the previous semesters because sometimes we just don't understand how to get an answer and it's nice to see how it should be worked out.
871. Improve the rounding errors when the answers required are large in magnitude and precise answers are not needed.
872. N/a
873. It is a lot of work, but a necessary evil I suppose.
874. none
875. more tolerance, no deduction for wrong units
876. none
877. There were a couple homeworks that felt much harder than anything covered in lecture or lab, but usually it was fine.
879. The homework was very time consuming and frustrating. I would spend 4 hours on one problem for a homework and still not understand it.
881. none
882. Homework always frustrated me. Would appreciate an example solution to the specific problem. Always found homework was more about providing a grade instead of learning the steps to complete problems.
884. None
886. I hated doing the homeworks but they were definitely helpful in actually learning the material
890. The homework was really hard a lot of the time. Without a portfolio to guide most people, the assignments were very challenging.
892. Sometimes the homework is a lot harder than what the lecture implied
894. ``
895. More intermediate value checks could benefit the homework system, as they are sometimes not included in the hints section for a problem. Additionally, without the help of a physics web site or another student's homework, I would have not been able to figure out some problems, as I only utilized these types of help when I was really stuck on a problem and was unable to get help in the study room.
899. Sometimes I and other students had problem with a problem but there were no IVC or hints. I had trouble getting the correct answer with problems when a value wasn't given and multiple values could've been used, for example the molar mass of air and converting Farenheit to Kelvins.
901. Remind us that homework is due
902. Less often
903. Decrease the volume of homework and have more examples in the problem description.
905. Maybe go over some more problems in class, give a few answers. This class gave SIGNIFICANTLY more homework than any other class I had.

881. none
882. Since I generally worked homework by myself,if I got stuck I relied heavily on the discourses in the discussion board. This kind of relates to my desire for an example problem, because I found the questions that included actual numbers to be the most helpful as it gave me a better idea of what goes where.
884. Great addition, I used it a lot.
886. no real complaints or suggestions
890. The discussion board is a good tool, I just did not use it very often.
893. The discussion board was my 'resource'

895. I often used the discussion board to seek help on a problem; however, I do feel that it could be improved. For instance, it would be helpful to only see the questions and answers pertaining to the specific part of the problem I was having trouble with instead of viewing all the discussion posts for the entire problem and all of its parts.
898. The discussion board was great- however, I never understand what people are saying sometimes, so I wish we could see others' work like the instructors see.

Additional comments/suggestions for improving the study room:
789. More tutors more often. Also write the names of the tutors on the board so we know who we are talking to. I still don't know any of the tutors names and I was in there very often.
791. Whenever I went tutoring center (study room) a guy (who is working at Tuesday (2:00pm - 5:00 pm)and Thursday(3:30pm - 7:00 pm), he helps me a lot with good knowledge. I really appreciated him.
800. Some of the TAs only used the answer book to help with students which sometimes ended up confusing the student more as opposed to others who act as they are the student and solving it step by step. Michael Matthews and Tyler Pitney were the most helpful to me and I left with a better understanding of the material every time I asked them questions.

873. It can get a little slow at times, and I'm assuming it is because of a high number of students being on at once. 886. really easy to use
890. The old exam videos were helpful, but our exams were never even close to old ones so it really was not much of a help.
892. I don't think it is needed, because the lectures make better sense of teaching a new topic than a textbook in many cases, including new material on harder topics.
893. I didn't buy the textbook. Although I'd had some of the material already, the lectures did a good job explaining things. I think the information was really broad, so a textbook isn't really required. Lectures were sufficient for me to understand everything.
894. ``
895. The EF 152 web site is a great tool, and I really appreciate the structure and tools provided by it. I don't feel that a textbook would be valuable for this class, as lecture sufficiently covers the material tested by the homework and exams. I just generally feel that textbooks are not always helpful as long as material is covered well by the professor(s) in class, and there are also so many great resources outside of lecture for this class (TA, study room, other students, etc.).
899. I noticed there weren't any videos for any recent old exams. Would've liked to see at least 1 or 2 for each exam.
903. As long as the website becomes more user friendly, it will be a great educational tool.

Overall Class

Additional comments/suggestions for improving EF 152:
791. I'm just sad about I lost two and half lecture because of parking lot.
801. Great job! I thoroughly enjoyed this class! All professors and TA's were phenomenal as always!
802. None
806. Try to make only one lab per week.
807. If we are required to learn calculus for this course, attempt to effectively incorporate it into the curriculum beyond a casual mention of it once or twice per module
808. .
810. Slow down the pace, it gets going on a too fast of pace at times. Take time to look at the little details from time to time. 50 minutes is sometimes not enough for some of these lectures. Overall, enjoyed the class.
811. N/A
812. Great lectures, explained concepts very well. Opened the door to other engineering disciplines.
816. Very math intensive, as is to be expected; however I found myself becoming less and less passionate about engineering because of it. Engineering has helped me, and provided much of my understanding of the physical world (and gotten me out of a speeding ticket).
I wish we had been tested more on our conceptual understanding, rather than mathematics like in the homework. I agree with the new direction with more concept questions on the test.
817. I really enjoyed taking this class.
820. good
822. The final design project for this semester was a joke. Somebody with no engineering background could have made an A on this project easy. I would recommend going back to the projects you had done in the previous semesters.
823. Glad its over, but i did enjoy it.
827. Great class
828. none
830. To work intensive. Also I feel like the ef series jumps between topics. Why barely cover moments in 151 and 152, why not go into depth in one class or the other.
832. At times I felt like the class was moving a bit fast.
833. EF 151 made me hate engineering, but after this semester of EF152 I will miss it going forward.
834. Do more to encourage students to continue studying engineering
835. Ok
836. N/A
839. Overall it is a great class and I learned a lot.
841. Consider creating a class for students with a full time job. I feel there is to many thing crammed into this class between the lectures, labs, homework, and projects the class turns out to be more of a five to six credit hour class than a four.
844. Slower pace in class or less material to learn.
846. was a good class, happy to make it through
848. Overall, this is my favorite class.
850. The projects just needed to not be last minute ideas. The last one could have been more "competitive".
851. I think extreme emphasis on test time limit, and tips to prepare transfer students would be helpful. I now several of us were very unprepared for the time limit on the first test and then had to did ourselves out of a hole in the class.

863. Learned significantly more in this class than I did in the EF151 equivalent class (phys 135). The amount of homework is quite taxing but I also feel it was necessary to ensure sucess. Overall great job
870. Maybe have a week where each student can see what type of engineer they want to be, and do a presentation about it. Also talk about the future for engineers more so they have something to hold onto the next 3 years of their engineering career.
871. Having time off class to work on the big project was extremely helpful. In 151 the final project coincided with one of the tests and the workload was pretty intense. It seems that 152 had a lot better schedule in regard to tests and projects. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed 152 because of the breadth of knowledge it provided on all major engineering disciplines.

874. Good class! you guys are doing fine! Flipped lectures should be reconsidered though
876. loved it
877. Either completely overhaul or drop the music project.
881. none
882. This class stressed me out to no end. Too much of your success in this class depends on your exam grades. I feel like I thoroughly understand the concepts of this class but I am in danger of having to retake it because of test taking anxiety.
884. I enjoyed this class. Hands on at times and the topics are useful.
886. Really no complaints this semester. I dont think anything should be changed
890. I would improve this class by making the exams more fair. I felt like a lot of the time ours were way harder than the practice ones on the website, which I really do not know why that would be. I would say how much the homework counts to your overall grade is a bonus, and makes the students want to finish it more.
892. THanks for being awesome EF! I really wish that the other programs like chemistry were as well-organized and realistic as this one, because the average on chemistry exams are below 60, when they have a really smart freshman class. THey need help, and it's not fair since I have to take CHem 120 as a requirement.
893. In-class projects hurt grades.
894. ``
895. EF 152 is a very well-structured class that I know I learned a lot of material in; I really appreciate and value the amount of work and effort put into the EF classes, as I hope it will provide a solid foundation for my future engineering classes. I remember when providing feedback for EF 151 on this same feedback form, I wrote that we often did not have enough space on the lecture note slides to sufficiently fill out notes. I noticed that we sometimes had note pages that had 2 slides to a page instead of 4, and whether or not that was based on feedback responses, it shows that there is attention to student feedback for the EF classes. The only suggestion I have for improving this class is to ensure that each lecture's material can be covered in the 50-minute period without having to be rushed through at the end; this might entail cutting out some extraneous material (or covering it more quickly) in order to focus on more important material that should not be rushed through. Overall, I've really enjoyed my time in EF 151 and 152, and while I'm ready to begin classes in my major, I'll definitely miss EF and being in a class with all types of engineering majors.
899. the projects this year seemed a little unorganized. The playing rocky top project was unclear of what was expected when presenting. Although I did like that for our final project we were allowed to be creative I would've liked to have had a couple options for the goals of our improvement.
900. Don't go back and say "You learned this in EF151" because not all students took EF151, there are computer science students in there that might have transferred from Physics 135 and that may prevent them from learning as well as others.
903. We need to have more online lectures and less homework.
904. ITS OVERRRR
905. This class needs to be more fun, I understand it is harder than 152, but that is exactly the reason that you need to make an effort to make things more fun.
